Liva Pierce is a writer and comedian based in Chicago. After graduating from high school, Liva took a gap year to pursue comedy at the Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City. While there, Liva began screenwriting and worked on several short films that went on to be accepted at film festivals across the country. In 2018, one of their pilots was a semi-finalist for the Sundance Episodic Lab.

As well as screenwriting and film production, Liva has been performing improv, sketch, and stand-up around Chicago at venues such as The iO Theater, Sleeping Village, The Crowd Theater, and The Revival Theater for three years. Online, Liva has received attention from Buzzfeed and The Guardian (among others) for their front-facing comedy videos and sketches. After Liva's viral video 'when characters in musicals transition from speaking to singing' got over 8 million views on Twitter, Vulture featured Liva as their best up-and-coming comedian of the week. Currently, Liva is working as a headline contributor for Reductress and finishing up a major in Creative Nonfiction Writing at the University of Chicago.

Liva is 6'2" and once they tore their ACL just from walking.
